Lesson Planner FAQ

Bloom's Taxonomy is a framework for categorizing educational goals into six levels: Remember, Understand, Apply, Analyze, Evaluate, and Create (lowest to highest order thinking). Selecting the right level helps you align your lesson objectives, activities, and assessment. For example, if your objective is "Apply" (use a formula), your activities should involve solving problems, not just listening to a lecture.

A proven structure for a 45-minute class: Introduction/Hook (5 min), Prior Knowledge (5 min), Direct Instruction (15 min), Guided Practice (10 min), Independent Practice (7 min), Closure/Summary (3 min). This follows the "I Do, We Do, You Do" (gradual release) model. The tool shows a time-check warning if your activities don't add up to the lesson duration.

Click "Print / Save as PDF" to save a formatted lesson plan document. You can then share the PDF with colleagues, submit it for observation, or archive it for future reference. All data stays in your browser - nothing is sent to any server. To reuse or edit a plan later, keep the PDF and re-enter the details when needed.
