Scaling tips: Spices and salt may not need full proportional scaling - start at 75% and adjust to taste. Cooking time may need slight adjustment when scaling volume significantly.
Scaling factor = Target / Original servings. Multiply each ingredient by this factor. For a 4-serve recipe scaled to 10: factor = 2.5. A 200g ingredient becomes 500g. Our scaler handles all ingredients at once automatically.
Spices and strong flavours do not always scale linearly. When scaling up more than 2x, start with 75% of the calculated spice quantity and adjust to taste. Leavening agents (baking powder/soda) also scale non-linearly in baking - use about 75-80% when doubling.
Any unit works - g, kg, ml, L, cups, tbsp, tsp, nos, pieces, or custom. The scaler multiplies the numeric quantity and keeps the unit unchanged. Keep units consistent within each ingredient row.
