NEET UG has 200 questions across 4 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology). Each subject has Section A (35 questions, all compulsory) and Section B (15 questions, attempt any 10). Correct answer: +4 marks. Wrong answer: −1 mark. Unattempted: 0 marks. Maximum possible score: 720 marks.

The NEET 2024 qualifying cutoff was: General - 720–137 marks (50th percentile), OBC/SC/ST/EWS - 720–107 marks (40th percentile), General-PwD - 720–121 marks (45th percentile). This is just the qualifying mark. Actual MBBS admission cutoffs at government colleges range from 600+ for top colleges to 450–500 for state quota seats.

AIIMS New Delhi typically requires 720–700+ marks (top 200 AIR). Other AIIMS campuses require AIR within 2,000–5,000. Top government medical colleges (MAMC Delhi, KGMC Lucknow, GMCH Chandigarh) need AIR within 5,000–15,000 for All India Quota. State quota seats are available at higher AIRs depending on the state.
